Cytokine expression in cord blood cells of children of healthy and allergic mothers

Abstract

Comparing cytokine expression by cord blood cells of healthy and allergic mothers revealed bias to Th2 allergic phenotype in children of allergic mothers. Cytokine expression on the level of cord blood cells could serve as a prognostic marker pointing to increased risk of allergy development.
