Abstract
Thyroid gland obesity: not a one-way internation. To the current knowledge there are 2 hypotheses of the association: 1) obese subject have increased risk of autoimmune hypothyroidism which contributes to weight gain; 2) obese subject have often secondary elevated serum TSH as a consequence not the cause of obesity.
