The response of FLi1, EKLF, TP53 (p53), PU.1, MDM2 gene expression in 5q- syndrome to lenalidomide treatment
Abstrakt
The 5q-syndrome is a distinct type of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) with isolated del(5q), characterised by refractory anaemia, morphological abnormalities of megakaryocytes with normal or elevated platelet counts, and del(5q) as the sole cytogenetic abnormality, occuring more frequently in females and having a benign clinical course with a low propensity for transformation to acute leukaemia.
