The Unplugged primary prevention methodics - experience in the Czech Republic

Abstract

The article is focused on the international Unplugged primary prevention programme that was implemented and piloted in Czech schools. The intervention itself has 12 lessons and is designated for pupils in 6-7th grade of elementary school.

The lessons are based on comprehensive social influence model which combines education in life skills with the concept of normative belief. The programme consists of 3 components: information and attitudes, interpersonal and intrapesonal skills.

The programme is delivered by school prevention workers within standard teaching classes. The reader of the article learns primarily about the experience of Czech schools where the programme was piloted, about the effectivenes of the intervention and about the system of trainings of the Unplugged programme.
