Adhesion of osteoblasts on chemically patterned nanocrystalline diamonds

Abstract

For a novel thin-film biosensor, adhesion of osteoblasts on NCD films with periodical O-/H-terminated stripes was studied. Cell attachment was guided by the hydrophilic/hydrophobic patterns with preferential cellular adhesion on hydrophilic surface
