Abstract

Chronic venous disease, characterized by the presence of venous hypertension occurs in a large variety of clinical conditions, ranging from uncomplicated varicose veins to leg ulcers. Part of the treatment of venous insufficiency are venotonika.

It is a drug mainly of plant origin, often vícekomponentní.Většina from venotonik present in the market has its own marketing, supported by very large studies, with evidence of effects on subjective symptoms, less often a positive effect on measurable parameters. An exception to this is a preparation containing diosmin-hesperidin, whose effect was tested in a number of randomized studies on sufficiently large files.

It stands out in particular by the only venotonikum demonstrated a positive effect on the healing of varicose ulcers.
