Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |
2009

Abstract

The aim of the book is to help understanding how the human body is capable of surviving in a dazzling variety on environmental conditions. The responsibility for this capability is taken by mechanisms having a remarkable ability to adapt to changes in the environment, thereby minimizing internal changes.

The ability of the body to maintain a normal internal environment is called homeostasis and is realized by regulation processes.
