Abstract

The programme is assigned for students at medical schools. Paediatric urology is dealing with urogenital disorders in children and adolescents from 0 to 18 years of age; it differs from adult urology by a different spectrum of disorders; basic diagnostic and therapeutical principles are similar.

Educational programme covers the most frequent disorders treated by paediatric urologist, i.e. congenital anomalies of the urinary tract, obsructive uropathies, disorders of the boyish genitalia, vesicoureteral reflux and bladder dysfunctions in chlidren. In addition to these topic it informs the students about the basic knowledge on urogenital embryology, on urinary tract and bladder function and on urinary continence, furthermore on the basic functional and morphological diagnosis of the urogenital system, and on reconstructive urology.The text is supplied by several short videopresentantations of endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery.
