Testicular Size And Catch-Up Growth After Lymphatic-Sparing And Lymphatic Non-Sparing Varicocele Repair In Children And Adolescents

Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |
2009

Abstract

Revearsal of testicular growth arrest is a real phenomenon after microsurgical varicocele repair, although the absolute difference between the left and right testicle remains in most patients. On the other hand, excessive testicular enlargement after lymphatic non-sparing repair manifesting as catch-up growth or even hypertrophy of the left testicle, is mostly arteficial, that cannot be considered as real growth.
