Abstract
This short essay tries to conclude in general the most visible contours of travelling and tourism in Czechoslovakia on case of postwar years after 1945 till the end of the communist regime in 1989. The attention is paid on three elementary dimensions of noted topic seen from historical perspective.
The first one would like to point out on the limits of research which during the last seventy years were formed through the specific „disciplinary niveau” of Czech tourism research. Second one is resuming the “knowledge borders” made by wide basis of different primary sources which are relevant to elaboration of the travelling and tourism research topic.
The last (but not least) part is aimed on the short outline of the postwar history of travelling and tourism and it tries to draw up its temporary historical borders.
