The Secondary Response to Modernity: The Resacralization of the "Rational (Super)Civilization" in the "Post-European Age"

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to introduce Patočka's concepts of "rational supercivilization" and "post-European age" in the context of contemporary discussions on the so-called "resacralization". My main concern is to interpret Patočka's term "radical supercivilization".

In addition, I would like to show the ways in which could Patočka's work contribute to the discussions on contemporary issues.
