Abstract
Mediation as an alternative method is based on the principle that compliance with which is important from the point of view of practical application and general understanding of this way of resolving conflicts. The article deals with selected basic principles of mediation and it examines in details the way of applying these principles of mediation and how they are expressed in the new legal regulation adopted in the Act on Mediation, No. 202/2012 Coll.
