Abstract

In our qualitative study, we would like to face with the existing interpretation of socialization of children from excluded lokalities. We come theoretically from the concept of cultural models (cognitive anthropology approach).

In our study, we explore collective opinion – the schema that CHILDREN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT. We would like to show that the benevolence of Roma parents is not an expression of their upbringing and education resignation, but that it is due to schemata’s different orders.

The main issue is the confrontation of schemata related to the concept of childhood and education of the socially excluded people, and the majority. The key concept is the relation between the need of discipline (majority position, Foucault) and respect and fear for children (excluded people position).
