Abstract
The article examines the influence of German Nazism on ideology and praxis of Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) during the 1930s. OUN was originally created in the Galicia on the basis of Ukrainian military organizatin (UVO), which had been strictly a military organization.
Major inspiration for new movement was radical nationalistic writings of Ukrainian journalist and philosopher Dmytro Doncov. Main goal of OUN was to establish independent state by all means.
Members of organization in Galicia used terror as a political tool in order to achieve this goal. OUN's agressive and voluntaristic ideology is sometimes classified as integral nationalism, sometimes as fascism or protofascism.
They studied experience of authoritarian movements in Europe of that time, especially of Italian fascism and German Nazism. Antisemitism was growing stronger both in nationalist's writings and praxis during the 1930s.
They were mostly interested in question, how to treat Jews in future Ukrainian state. Nationalists were studying the German racial doctrine as well, but they did not accepted it
