Abstract
Hydrological and natural conditions in European continent are presented in this book. The content is focused on history of fisheries, meaning of fishes, protection of ichthyofauna.
Over 300 species of hagfishes, lampreys, cartilaginous fishes and bony fishes are presented by means of maps of distribution, colour pictures and descriptions of their biology and ecology.
