Publication at Faculty of Science |
2013

Abstract

Based on detailed analysis of remote sensing images the authors evaluate the change in land cover in the eastern hinterland of Prague. The aim of this chapter is to compare the character and intensity of residential and commercial suburbanization and its impacts on the landscape in seven selected settlements.

In addition to a detailed description of the changes in land use in the past twenty years, the authors identify factors that have had a major influence on the development of suburbanization.
