Measuring the extent and form of suburbanization: experience from abroad

Publication at Faculty of Science |
2013

Abstract

The chapter considers the consequences of suburbanization and the possibility of its regulation. The authors call for the creation of a system of indicators that would monitor the ongoing proces, and present an overview of international experience.

As sources of inspiration, they show monitoring systems used in the United States, Canada and also in two culturally closer European countries: Germany and Switzerland.
