Abstract

Gerontological and organisational supervision. Interprofessional cooperation is required if quality care for seniors and persons with dementia should be delivered.

Quality of care in organisations can be changed with active involvement of staff members participating in assessment, planning and implementation of necessary changes identified. Appropriate and sufficient training and support has to be in place for staff members.

Project Gerontological and organisational supervision in South Moravian homes for seniors is an example of cooperation of professional teams from residential care and external consultants from the field of gerontology.
