National Languages in the Educational System and Their Significance for Attaining High Education of all Ethnicities

Abstract

Medieval particular schools and universities were teaching Latin and at the same time they used Latin as a teaching language. Until the reformation broke the monopoly of Latin.

In 1784 German language took the place of Latin at the Prague-University too. Early fifties of the 19th century brought important assumptions for development of science in Czech language.
