Abstract

In 2011, the Organization for Economic Development and Co-operation (OECD) published an analysis of long-term care systems in OECD countries titled „Help Wanted? Providing and Paying for Long-Term Care“. The analyses focused on financing and labour force in the long-term care sector.

The main results from this publication are presented in four thematic publications. The first part provides a brief summary of the selected data on workers in the long-term care sector.

The second one presents selected data on future demographic development and its impact on availability of long-term care. The third part brings data on informal care and carers, and the fourth part provides selected data on LTC financing, including short summary of conclusions and recommendations
