Abstrakt
We found that there is a scaling relationship between habitat heterogeneity and bird community composition on the one hand, and spatial extent on the other, and that this relationship reveals scale-invariance, which is typical also for the reůationship between species number and sampled area. Therefore, at least at the landscape scale, the shape of SARs can be attributed to the scaling properties of landscape composition
