Abstract
This paper is the first attempt to quantify the level of automobile dependency in the Czech Republic. The problem is approached within broader economic and environmental context.
We define appropriate indicators of automobile dependency for the Czech Republic and quantify them (data processing). Then the scope of the automobile dependency according to these indicators and future trends regarding the automobile dependency phenomenon are discussed
