Abstract
Freedom is crucial for a modern man. Reservation of freedom rules other areas of human life.
As an example we can show the low activity in different organizations and political parties or unwillingness to make decisions with impact for the whole life, like marriage or priesthood. The key question is how the modern democratic state function does, if its citizens are passive and interested especially in satisfaction the individual need.
It seems that the Christian religion has an important task in democracy, because it stresses the human dignity and responsibility for common wealth. Separation between state and church is important and good, but also substantial is the connection between religion and wide understanding of politics.
Religion provides the right motivation for the citizens to be generous and active in the society
