Contribution to the history of Bohemian Architecture of Fine Style (about 1400). About Stylish Situation of so called Column Hall of Prague Castele

Abstract

Contribution to the Deeper Understanding of Stylish Feature of Castle Architecture during the reing of Wenceslas IV and its realation to the crteation of the second Magistra fabricae of Peter Parler´s Cathedral of Prague. The study also deals with the relation between former Column Hall and Prague Parler sculpture of fine style.

The author comes to a conclusion (and follows some thoughts of Jan Muk jr.) that the architecture of former Column Hall and the architecture of castles (which were first compiled as relatively round grup by V. and D. Mencl) join in the historical and art sense the most perceptive and favourite inventions of Peter Parler.
