Azaphthalocyanines: Red Fluorescent Probes for Cations

Publication at Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové |
2013

Abstract

Red fluorescent dyes of azaphthalocyanine type containing peripherally attached azacrown moiety were synthesized. Their photophysical properties were evaluated in connection to their ability increase fluorescence after binding of specific cations.

The most promising compound was incorporated into silica nanoparticles and sensing properties were confirmed also in water and in acidic media.
