Abstract
Putting aside the internal factors, this article focuses on external factors (media, defectors, government agencies, child protection agencies, etc.) that contributed to violent evolution of the conflict between Branch Davidians and law enforcement in 1993. In the eyes of Davidians, these external forces confirmed that their apocalyptic predictions are coming true.
Paradoxically, these external factors contributed to feeling of Davidians that they are involved in the final battle of Armageddon.
