Abstract
Mechanisms of obesity paradox are not yet clear and are different in various kinds of cardiovascular disease. Obesity paradox may be associated with unpropriate antihypertensive therapy in patients with arterial hypertension.
In patients with coronary heart disease may play an important role genetic predispozition in lean subjects, which is responsible for bad prognosis. In patients with chronic heart failure associates obesity paradox especially with metabolic situation of the organism.
