Autoevaluation of secondary schools

Abstract

The text is focused on autoevaluation in secondary schools. The introductory part defines the terms autoevaluation and evaluation.

Further, the legal Framework of schools' self-evaluation is being described. Next chapter describes the infuence of the autoevaluation process on the development of professional community of teachers.

The conclusions are based on mutual school visits in the Framework of the national project managed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, called "Cesta ke kvalitě" - "Path to Quality". The text opens a discussion about further approaches to studying the formation of a professional community of teachers, which would provide a deeper insight into the problematic of improving schools' self-evaluation.
