Abstract
Chapter aims to describe the culture in the Czech countires in the years 1890 - 1914, specifically in terms of literature, theater and music. It deals with the onset of poetic modernism and the development of literary criticism, Czech prose and prose of German-speaking authors.
It also explores the theater on 19th and 20 century and the onset of Czech modern music.
