Abstract
The author discusses a role of remittances at a more general level in a broader context of the migration and development paradigm. Moreover, results of the survey done in Czechia are presented.
The questionniare survey was carried out in Prague and its hinterlands while researching into migrants´ remittances - their size, frequencies, modes of transfer and their use by families in Ukraine.
