Relief of Mountainous Areas in Central Europe as an Archive of the Quaternary Cold Periods

Abstract

The article deals with the record of the Quaternary cold periods in relief of mountainous areas of Central Europe and the example of the Krkonoše Mts. and the High Tatras shows the use of selected periglacial and glacial landforms for palaeoenvironmental reconstructions.
