Abstract

The comparative study presents and compares the knowledge of Czech and German young people (12 and 15 years) about the Olympics. Evaluate the source of these knowledge regarding school also other ones information loaders (family, friends, mass media etc.).

The documented differences in knowledge's about the modern Olympic the games result out from the different conception of school curricula and cultural environment as well. Czech young people acquiring more information about the Olympics in the school, German young people through the Olympic day and festivals at school and from the mass media.
