Abstract

To evaluate the physiological responses between maximal asynchronous arm-cranking exercise (AACE) and synchronous arm-cranking exercise (SACE) in untrained and males (UM) and females (UF) and in specifically trained populations. The relatively low results found in normal untrained population in contrast to kayakists and wheelchair subjects indicate high trainability for upper body exercise, both for AACE and SACE modes.
