Regional dimension of socio-economic inequality in Czechia: a comparison of generalized entropy indices decomposition and spatial autocorrelation

Abstract

In this paper, regional dimension of socio-economic inequality in Czechia is studied. The paper compares two distinct methods of analysing the relative regional inequality: generalized entropy indices decomposition, specifically Theil index, and spatial autocorrelation measured by Moran's I.

Both methods are compared on detailed (municipality level) unemployment data.
