Contribution to the Central European Gymnodamaeus species G. barbarossa and G. bicostatus (Acari, Oribatida, Gymnodamaeidae), Gymnodamaeus bicostatus (C. L. Koch, 1835)

Abstract

A redescription of Gymnodamaeus barbarossa Weigmann, 2006, is presented and the species is compared with Gymnodamaeus bicostatus (C. L.

Koch, 1835). The ecology and distribution of both species is discussed as well.
