New early griffenfly, Sinomeganeura huangheensis from the Late Carboniferous of northern China (Meganisoptera : Meganeuridae)

Abstract

New griffenfly is described from Upper Carboniferous of the Tupo Formation in northern China. This taxon exhibits unique structure of the wing venation pattern and demonstrates co-existence of relatively small and large species in Namurian.
