Correlation Analysis of the Ultrasonic Emission from Loaded Rock Samples - the Study of Interaction of Microcracking Nucleation Centres

Abstract

By cross-correlating the time-series of ultrasonic events produced by microcracking from loaded rock samples this study showed that the separate nucleation centres did not appear to influence one another even during the final stages of fracturing.
