Permanent vs. Actual Residential Population: Statistical Evidence in Practice

Abstract

The article discusses differences in statistical evidence regarding both the permanent and actual residential population of municipalities in Czechia, in the light of 2011 Population Census results. Discrepancies are most apparent in areas of new suburban housing developments.

Determining accurate counts of the actual population is vital for financing and administering local governance.
