Abstract

The main focus of this chapter is to determine time scope of criminal norms. In the first place, the time scope of criminal legislation is defined by force and effect of a statute.

The applicable time variation of a substantive statutory regulation is defined not only by the moment when the crime was committed but also by some general principles such as prohibition of retroactivity to the detriment of the accused.
