Invasive species of Heracleum in Europe: an insight into genetic relationships and invasion history

Publication at Faculty of Science |
2008

Abstract

This paper confirmed the presence of three distinct, but genetically close species of the genus Heracleum invading in Europe. Heracelum laciniatum is synonymous with H. persicum.

High genetic variability was found in the invaded range and multiple introductions of all three species are likely to have occured.
