On reducing the 2d Navier-Stokes equations to a system of delayed ODEs

Abstrakt

We provide a simple proof that the dynamics of 2d Navier-Stokes equations on the attractor can be reduced to the dynamics of sufficiently modes of the Stokes operator, provided that the nonlinearity depends on the past history.
