Territorial meadow pipit males (Anthus pratensis; Passeriformes) become more aggressive in female presence

Abstract

Playback experiments revealed that meadow pipits increase intensity of aggressive response to territorial intrudes in the presence of females, this may be a prevention of extra-pair copulation.
