Abstract

Application of coulometric detectors in HPLC might be complicated by the passivation of the working material and its difficult renewal. This paper deals with the new type of coulometric detector with renewable working material based on spherical microparticles of glassy carbon.

Detector was tested by determination of hydroquinone and thymol using flow injection analysis. The obtained results confirmed that this detector can be successfully applied for flow measurements.
