Abstract
A detailed military and civil biography and obituary of important Czechoslovak officer, Brigadier-general (Ret.) Zdenek Škarvada. During World War II he fought in the Polish Air Force and Royal Air Force, lived in the Soviet internment and then even longer in German captivity.
After 1948 he was proscribed by the communist regime.
