Abstract
It is a popular scientific text, which aims to describe the current situation of minority languages in Peru in the Amazonian region in general terms. It highlights, among other things, the issue of studies of amazonian languages, confusing classification and the loss of linguistic diversity that is associated with discrimination against the indigenous population.
It describes briefly historical perspective of the languages and current initiatives. The output of the Vnitřní granty of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague 2013 (VG 149).
