Ideological positioning in legal discourses on European multilingualism: Equality of languages as an ideology and a challenge

Abstrakt

The chapter deals with the problem of the equality of languages in the European legal and political discourses. One of the most important findings is that there is no legal basis for the assumption that official languages of the European institutions must be treated equally under all circumstances.
