Abstract

The contribution deals with the frontier conflicts in South America, between colonial Spain and Portugal. Specially deals with the Traty of Tordesillas (1494), the Traty of Madrid (1750) and the activities of the jesuits which in the 17th and 18th centuries entered in conflict with the civil administrations of any of both countries.
