Abstract

Biography significant Czechoslovak military aviator using Czech and foreign archival records. Otto Hanzlíček was one of the first Czechoslovak airmen who have fought in the Battle of France, specifically in the unit GC II/5, which was the successor to the famous American squadron of American volunteers Laffayette during WW1.

Later he joined the RAF and was killed in the Battle of Britain
