Abstract
The text summarizes the reflections of origin and development of children´s ideas about function of writing as a means of information record, development of writting technique in an individual and acquisition of ortographical rules. On the basis of teachers´ experience it defines types of pupils´ mistakes/problems in lexical ortography acquisition in Czech.
