Great Britain has been considered as rather alien and mysterious country by most of the public. The way journalist have been describing this country had a major impact how people have been imaginating Britain.
During the twenties, Britain has been described rather uncritically and journalists have been trying to be as informative as possible. In the thirties, the view on Britain has been more realistic and critical.
The range of "british" topics was quite wide for the most part of the period. During the year 1938, the most outstanding topics about Britain were related to the question of Czech Germans and the role of Britain in the international efforts to solve this crisis.
